Frequently Asked Questions

Is NP2 a nonprofit organization?
Yes. NP2 is a California based nonprofit organization. We received our IRS 501(c)(3) status in 2019. Our employment ID or IRS designation number is: 84-2395974.
Are donations to NP2 tax-deductible?

What is the mission of NP2?
NP2’s mission is to promote public health by developing, manufacturing, and distributing medicines for the treatment of life-threatening diseases in underserved populations. We believe that no one should be denied the care they need due to a lack of financial resources.
How is NP2 different from Big for-profit Pharma companies?
Big pharma has to answer to shareholders and their driving motivation is to continually grow their profits, to deliver higher returns. NP2 has no shareholders. We put people ahead of profits and our mission is to manufacture and sell life-saving generic drugs that treat diseases like cancer, at reduced prices. Modest profits earned on the sale of NP2’s drugs will be reinvested into developing additional drugs that are experiencing spikes in their pricing, and covering the cost of our annual operating budget. Big Pharma’s annual profits go to shareholders in the form of dividends, five or six figure bonuses to their top executives, and millions are spent annually on marketing and advertising.
How is NP2 funded?
NP2 is supported by people just like you. We are also seeking partnerships with philanthropic Foundations in the healthcare arena. We project to generate enough revenue through sales to become self-sustaining by 2028.
